Ray You were always so welcoming and kind to us all. I could always rely on you for newspaper cuttings from The Times, a full drinks glass and a box of after eights after dinner! Thank you for all the fun times we’ve had as a family in Florida (with your endless supply of coupon books), I will always have such fond memories when I visit and think back at the years spent at Bloomsbury Drive. Ray was one of the first people I met when I moved to Hemel Hempstead. We met whilst dog walking, Ray in his dapper Safari suit.. Ellen and I became firm friends, this may have been because of the copious amounts of Sangria Ray used to make for us. He was always a kind and generous man. Our friendship has lasted many years now. We watched each other’s sons grow up and you were both always there for me. Ray was a true gentleman, and it was much appreciated. Rest in peace Ray. Dear Ray, thank you so much for employing me 34 years ago at the tender age of 16. Whilst working for you over 17 years at Admin Press you taught me many things and just last year I used one of those traits and I had a “Ray Hawkins” winning moment all thanks to you.
